The Second Chance Success Summit, held on July 20–21, 2022, was organized by MEDA with the primary purpose of disseminating the findings of the Second Chance project, showcasing its success and impact, and providing a networking platform for a diverse group of stakeholders. The summit brought together key players from various sectors to share insights, experiences, and strategies aimed at enhancing financial access and economic opportunities, particularly for women-led enterprises.
The event was organized over two days with a structured agenda that included keynote speeches, panel discussions, partner introductions, and interactive sessions focused on financial access, investment ecosystems, and project success stories. Each session featured experts and practitioners from across East and Southern Africa, representing organizations involved in gender lens investing, financial services, and enterprise support. The sessions were designed to provide both supply- and demand-side perspectives, as well as system-level insights.
